Warehouse Manager

GENERAL DESCRIPTION:
The Warehouse Manager is responsible for planning and directing the different work activities of the warehouse while delegating duties with respect and fostering teamwork and AFR culture. This position would be best suited for a supervisor looking for a opportunity into a management role. This would be considered an entry level management positions.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Facilitate weekly Operations and Sales calls via Teams internal communication system.
• Oversees order picking, preparation, and shipment of orders and transfers between the warehouse and the delivery destination, either residential or an event.
• Work with and monitor delivery teams by providing support while transactions are carried out.
• Walk and inspect both inbound and outbound orders and transfers to destination.
• Training and monitoring of delivery teams and pickers.
• Handle calls from delivery teams.
• Work with Branch Managers to route trucks drivers.
• Oversea and inspect the quality of the previous days Triage and approve of all products going into racks.
• Perform other related duties as assigned or required by management.

• Good oral communication skills, as well as written and reading. 
• Customer Service oriented and excels in customer relations.
• Budgeting, planning, and time management skills.
• Demonstrated professionalism and detail attention.
• Business ethics and customer relation skills.
• Personnel management and delegation skills

EDUCATION:

• Bachelor’s degree, in Business Administration and/or Event Management.
• Languages: English and Spanish languages verbal and written.

EXPERIENCE:

• Previous management experience in a Special Event, Tradeshow, or Party Rental distribution center environment required.
• Previous furniture warehouse management experience in a residential environment for the residential warehouse managers is highly considered.

CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSES: Forklift license, certified by AFR.  

PHYSICAL AND MENTAL QUALIFICATIONS:

• Ability to perform complex tasks, rational thinking and numerical calculations is required.
• This job will require a high level of physical movement in a warehouse environment.
• This job will require lifting and/or moving objects up to 75 pounds, climbing stairs, bending, crouching, and being physically active for extended periods of time.
