SUMMARY

The Interiors Program Manager is primarily responsible for leading and managing consistent implementation of QTS Corporate Interiors Standards across multiple projects. The Interiors Program Manager will interact daily with Architects, Engineers, General Contractors, FF&E and specialty vendors, QTS Management, Legal, Development, and Operations staff and should have both written and oral communication skills commensurate with the level of regular communication.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES - Other duties may be assigned. 

  • Manage concurrent, multi-phased exterior start-up and upgrade (e.g. office) on several campuses both nationally and internationally to achieve schedule, budget, and quality standards in a predictable fashion
  • Mentor and coach existing project managers on interiors project lifecycle from business case to design and execution.
  • Create and communicate updates on Interiors program and project status suitable for executive level reviews; effectively present information (both written & verbal) to support efficient decision making
  • Work with QTS stakeholders, design, and construction teams to create master retrofit plans for the portfolio, including design solutions; create capital project budgets
  • Develop scopes of work and sketch concepts for design, construction, and FF&E services, enabling vendor and material procurement; level pricing proposals and create executive-facing recommendations for award
  • Lead Interiors project teams through entitlement and permitting needs for office construction, exterior facades, signage, etc
  • Lead Interiors project teams’ on-site activities, such as verification & punch walls; lead issues close out and implement lessons learned
  • Lead Interiors project teams in design drawing reviews, construction administration, legal contracts and change order negotiation, and pay application review and approval
  • Collaborate with Sales Engineers and Product teams to aid in custom deal solutions for large client office design and construction
  • Represent QTS interests as participant in design and OAC weekly meetings, serving as meeting leader
  • Work with QTS Development and Operations teams to enhance project management processes and protocols
  • Create and build relationships that enhance QTS’s ability to be the leader in creating the World’s Most Valuable Data Center Real Estate

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS 

·       Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Design, or equivalent professional experience

·       7 or more years of professional experience in commercial construction/interior design practices and procedures, and project delivery methods from conceptual development through procurement to close out

·       Experience with Bluebeam & Microsoft Office suite, specifically PowerPoint for use in communicating program updates to executive level

·       Intermittent Travel up to 50%

·       US Citizenship for this position is required by law due to federal customer contract

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS 

·       10+ years previous experience leading a program of interiors projects

·       Previous experience reviewing concept designs and master plans with stakeholders

·       PMP or equivalent experience in Project Management

·       Revit and AutoCAD experience preferred

·       Strong Verbal and Written Communication Skills

·       Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
