Responsibilities/Accountabilities  

We have an amazing opportunity for a Restorative Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) that can:    

  • Assist licensed nursing staff and rehabilitation department by performing duties that will maintain and restore a resident to his/her maximum level of independence.  
  • Use a combination of all skills developed and implemented for residents with special needs.  
  • Promote the residents’ independence In activities of daily living by providing opportunity for self care (including bowel and bladder treatment programs),  transfer and ambulation activities.  
  • Document activities through Point of Care (POC), ADL Flow Sheet, Restorative Sheets, various treatment sheets, charge sheets, etc. as established by the facility.  
  • Perform any other duties required to help patient care and maintenance of a smoothly operating department.

  • Must be able to lift without restrictions.  
  • Complete other duties as assigned.   

 

Experience/Skills/Education  

Required:    

  • Current Certified Nursing Assistant license in State of Virginia  
  • High school diploma or general education diploma (GED)  
  • Minimum Three (3) years CNA experience in a skilled or long term care facility  
  • Must maintain current license in the State of Virginia  
  • Must be up to date on all required education and in-services.  
  • Must be able to work weekends  
  • Must adhere to the 6 Principles of Care: dignity, Independence safety, communication, infection control, privacy   

  

Preferred:    

  • CPR certification  
  • Exposure to the senior population  
  • Familiarity with Point of Care (POC)  
  • Desire to serve and care for the senior population
