About the role:

As Medical Lead, you are a crucial part of managing absence analytics, follow-up management, rehabilitation, and several other working environment initiatives. You will work closely together with and support our base management in Norway for our SAS Group flying crew. You will also work to ensure process alignment amongst our Nordic colleagues across Sweden and Denmark. In addition, the quality assurance of that SAS follows and lives up to given laws, agreements, and internal policies regarding work environment, will also be a crucial part of your daily work. Key stakeholders in your daily work will be Crew management, local P&C, Company health service, AMEs and relevant authorities to assure operational excellence.  
We are looking for a committed, competent, and high performing person who is interested in analyzing trends - and providing continuous improvement suggestions and guidance based on those findings. 
Primarily, we are looking for a person who has a relevant work experience as a Nordic people leader, HR professional, and/or healthcare/technical background in addition to relevant academic degree. 
 

Key Responsibilities:

-    Ensure that Crew Managers follow up on relevant laws and regulations when it comes to sick leave follow up within SAS Crew Services
-    Engage proactively with internal and external stakeholders to drive cross-functional initiatives and ensure alignment with and on strategic objectives
-    Analyze, develop and coordinate data, monitor progress and track KPIs
-    Lead and oversee key improvement projects related to e.g. sick leave follow up
-    Work proactively and focus on preventive measures
-    Ensure compliance with laws, regulations and agreements regarding sickness absence follow-up and rehabilitation.
-    Collaborate with management to proactively reduce sick leave and facilitate quicker return-to-work processes for crew members by applying continuous improvement based on data-driven findings
-    Maintain a close dialogue with the occupational health service and other partners regarding e.g. sick leave and be the liaison between relevant stakeholders
-    Lead initiatives focused on preventive measures to minimize the risk of injuries and accidents.
 

Required Skills & Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent background/competence. 
- Strong knowledge of systematic approaches to workplace health and safety and procedures for managing sickness absence.
- Proficiency in a Scandinavian language and English, both spoken and written.
- Excellent system and computer skills, administrative competence, and the ability to balance short-term and long-term objectives.
- Exhibit strong analytical skills, including the ability to compile data, identify and clarify issues, and present well-founded conclusions in a clear way. 
- Proficiency in MS Office, particularly MS Excel, for data analysis and reporting
- Relevant experience within e.g. Occupational Health, NAV/IA competent, or HSE advisory would be preferred 
- However, we will also consider other relevant experience for the role – and much consideration will be placed onto your interpersonal as well as technical skills.
